
Ronan Fitzgerald, Academic Director
Graduated from IPA, Ireland with an MA in Management. Over the past 15 years he has worked in a variety of public and private organizations, where he has been involved in training, leading and motivating teams. He gained extensive experience working in public service before making a full time transition to education. Since joining HIM, he has held a number of positions including BBA Program Manager, Asst Academic Dean and he has the position of Academic Director since 2007.

John Daly, Assistant Academic Dean & Northwood Program Manager
He previously worked as third year, second year and before that first year program leader at HIM. He has been working with HIM since 2003. He previously worked in the Hotel industry in four and five star properties, working as Assistant Manager, Catering Manager, Food and Beverage Manager. He holds a degree in Hotel management, a Masters degree in tourism and a post graduate diploma in 'teaching and learning in higher education.

Alyona Kim, Executive Academic Assistant for Northwood Programs
Graduated from the University of Tashkent and started her career in Credit Suisse in Tashkent. In 2005 she moved to Switzerland and joined HIM in 2006 as the BBA Academic Secretary. She has been promoted to Executive Academic Assistant for Northwood Programs in 2008.

Andrew Ivanyi, Second Year Program Leader
Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management, Cornell University.
Graduated in Hotel Operations from Westminster Hotel School, London, he started his career in the U.K. and Switzerland and Belgium, working in several prestigious hotels.
He was General Manager of 4* Hotels in London, Montreal, Toronto, Moscow.

Roger Eyer, First Year and PGDO Program Leader
Graduated from Hotelfachschule Thun, Eidgenössisch Diplomierter Restaurateur/Hôtelier HF and Certified Hospitality Educator. He Joined HIM in 1999 as Lecturer and Internship Coordinator.
Roger Eyer has been promoted to Program Leader in 2006.

Cristina Hidalgo Orihuela, Program Leader Languages
Graduated from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University in Spanish and English Language & Literature. Specialized in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, during the last seven years she has been working in several educational institutions in Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
She joined the SEG Group in 2008 and became Program Leader Languages in 2009.

Michael Heinrich, Lecturer CHE Front-Office Management
He has more than 25 years experience in the Swiss Hospitality Industry with an extensive background at Front Office. He has been working as a Front Office Manager at the Mövenpick Hotel in Lausanne (opening), the Crans Ambassador in Montana as well as at the Montreux Palace. Furthermore he has been managing the hotels Savoy and d'Angleterre in Geneva and working as a Assistant Commercial Director with the Manotel chain in Geneva. He joined HIM in November 2007.

Alfred Kubat, Service lecturer & Maître d’hôtel in One5
Graduated from Hotelfachschule in Austria, he has worked in Hospitality industry since 23 years. He started as Chef de rang in Seiler Hotels in Zermatt and became Maître d’hôtel.
He joined SEG in 2003 as Service lecturer & Maître d’hôtel in One5, the Fine dining restaurant.
