IHTTI is currently working on creating a more environmentally friendly atmosphere by putting in place the following measures:
RECYCLING
As per the photo - we have installed new bins on each floor of the building
Yellow: Pet Recycling collector bin Purpose: only for PET bottles
Blue: Paper Recycling collector bin Purpose: only for newspaper, old paper, books…
Green: Cardboard Recycling collector bin Purpose: only for cardboard boxes
Grey: garbage bin for trash.
TexAid Recycling collector bin Purpose: only for clothes/shoes for donation
The
purpose of all this is to give each of us the responsibility to recycle
by bringing our own recyclable stuff that may be in the bedrooms or
offices to the recycling points and to help our planet Earth to stay
healthy.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
New energy saving light bulbs have been installed throughout the building.
New windows are scheduled to be installed.
The
kitchen is also partaking in new "Green" measures - all uneaten foods
and food wastes are separated from other trash and picked up by a
company converting these wastes to Biogas. This Biogas is then being used to fuel vehicles.
