in Champagne of the Prize-winners of the Competition of the Swiss Hotel
Management Schools
After their victory in the Champagne
Competition in their respective schools (for IHTTI – Julia Martina Nadin Sterr
and Chi Fong Lau (Martin), all the winners were invited by the CIVC (Comite
Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne) to share their enthusiasm and
enhance their knowledge in the very heart of the region.
The program
was charged – dinners based on the food and Champagne matching, transport by a
limousine for a comparative visit to a big brand, small producer and a
cooperative, visit of the Maison de la Champagne and many, many
tastings…like a long magnificent dream.
The
possibility given to the students to meet the winemakers and discuss their own
production made this visit full of knowledge and experience. The high quality
and the variety of styles definitely strengthened the passion of the winners
for Champagne.
