Greetings HIM Alumni,

HIM needs your help! Since September 2009 we have been running a series of extra curricular master classes for the students and have a fantastic Food and Beverage program in place. However, we would love to increase the range of topics offered to the students and this is where we need your help!

Instead of contacting people within the industry who have no ties to HIM, we would dearly love to include some Alumni into the program. You are all working in different areas, have all experienced the curriculum at HIM and will be able to give some real perspective on your respective specialties that is both up to date and useful for students heading out to the 'real world'

The current classes include Mixology (with the Swiss bartending champion of 2008) Whiskey (with the European whiskey tasting champion) Flair Bartending (with the Australian flair bartending champion 2007) Swiss Wine (with Bernard Fierens, HIM governing board member, from his vineyard) Cigars (with Davidoff cigars) Coffee and Chocolate (with N'espresso and Nestle representatives respectively) and Inga Wendelin the F&B lecturer and organiser of the program runs classes for Champagne, New World wine and German Bier, so you will be defiantly in good company!!!

We run the classes every Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the second half of September and all of October and November and they generally run for 2 -3 hours depending on the topic. The numbers are generally around 25 students in each class but this varies depending on how practical the class is (and how many students you may be comfortable with!!) We are more than happy to organise any equipment, resources or tools that may be required for any presentation, and HIM will organise transport and accommodation for you if required.
